Artistic Director of Classical evenings
Natalie Dessay is the exceptional guest of the Nuits Classiques. Accompanied by pianists Philippe Cassard and Yvan Cassar, she will perform a recital specially designed for Ramatuelle on Thursday, July 31st, blending French melodies and musical theater. The evening before, renowned political commentator Christophe Barbier will pay tribute to Jacques Offenbach. Together with soprano Pauline Courtin and pianist Vadim Sher, they will bring back to life the “Mozart of the Champs-Élysées” and his muse Hortense Schneider through the greatest arias from La Belle Hélène, La Vie Parisienne, Orphée aux Enfers, and La Périchole, in a sparkling and humorous performance.
Finally, as the opening event of the Nuits Classiques on Tuesday, July 29th, the Julien Lestel Ballet will celebrate the 150th anniversary of Carmen in an evening combining Bizet’s music with contemporary works by Rodion Shchedrin and Ivan Julliard, reviving the legendary cigar-maker.
These three evenings reflect the eclecticism of the Nuits Classiques, which now await only your presence.
